About the job

Do you enjoy an active, physical job and working in impressive industrial environments? As a Mechanic Cables, you will work on cranes, lifting equipment, and installations in the ports of Rotterdam and beyond. Every day, you’ll see massive containers, ships, and cranes up close — and you’ll play a key role in keeping them safe and operational. What you will do? You will travel independently with a company van to various port locations to:

• Inspect and approve different types of lifting equipment
• Install new steel cables and repair existing ones
• Test and check cables on-site

About the company

You have it

Experience is not required - motivation and a proactive attitude are key. You will be trained on the job by an experienced colleague. You bring:

• A valid driver’s license (required) and preferably your own car
• A willingness to learn a technical trade
• No fear of working at heights
• Flexibility, including willingness to work overtime

Of course, your work should be rewarded. For this position of Mechanic Cables in you will receive:

• A bruto salary between € 2700 and € 3300 bruto per month
• A net weekly salary between €560 and €640, depending on age and experience
• 25 vacation days per year
• 13 additional ATV days
• Opportunities to follow courses and obtain certifications VCA basis
• Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer when using your own car
