About the job
Great work! Together with your colleague, as a Terminal Employee Port, you watch the blades of a large wind turbine being unloaded on the quay in Moerdijk. As an Terminal Employee, you see quite a few tons of heavy material pass by each week. You can think of steel, wind turbine parts, and sheet piling. What do you do on the quay?- Loading and unloading ships with the help of an 8 or 16-ton forklift
- Assisting the crane operator with loading and unloading a ship
- Taking on your role as a radio / porto or deck man
- Moving loads with the help of a ‘heavy’ forklift
- Helping and speaking to drivers and skippers
About the company
You will be working at a family business in Moerdijk. You work together on the quay with about 10 colleagues. They all have a port mentality. Safe and hard work are central. Because you work in a small team, you have a personal and close relationship with your colleagues. In addition to the quay, you also have the office and the workshop. In total, you will get about 30 colleagues!You have it
- Experience at a port or in a similar position
- Safe working is the most important thing for you
- You speak fluent English and or Dutch
- You have B driver license and can get to Moerdijk with your own transport
You deserve it
As a Terminal Employee Port or Operational Port Worker in Moerdijk, you will receive employment conditions according to the Collective Labour Agreement for "Beroepsgoederenvervoer":- Salary, depending on age and experience, between €2.700 and €3.700 gross per month
- You work here for a long time, it is possible to work towards a permanent job!
- 28.5 free days per year and 8.33% holiday pay
- Travel expenses reimbursement according to own arrangement
- Overtime paid at 130% and 150%
